Operator Training
Training in the safe use and all associated risks with Dry Ice Blasting is paramount to us. Therefore all potential operators of equipment supplied by CryoGenesis (UK) Ltd. are required to complete our comprehensive operator training programme.
Topics covered in the training programme provided by us include: An introduction to Dry Ice Blast cleaning. How Dry Ice blasting works. How the purchased/hired blasting unit and gun set/s work. Safety Issues Ventilation, Dry Ice handling and storage, Compressed air safety, Proper and safe use of the blasting gun, Stopping the blast stream in emergency, Use of proper attire and Personal Protective Equipment. Operation of the Dry Ice blasting unit. Air supply/Volume/Pressure/Air cleanliness. Preventive maintenance of the blasting equipment.
Connecting up to the air supply/initial startup procedures. Blast cleaning techniques. Shutting down procedures and making the equipment safe. Maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment. The training programme can take place either at the customer's premises or at our specialist cleaning centre in Littlehampton West Sussex. Candidates will be instructed by the trainer and required to view a training video and will also be given written worksheets to complete. Trainer will be on-hand to answer any questions candidates may have. At the end of the training session candidates will be given a short written multiple choice test covering all the topics raised. Completion certificates will be issued to the successful candidates.
